We like to move during finals week.
Its a little tradition/hobby of ours. Increases the stress level a little bit lot.
Somehow we always make it through.
And now I am here to tell you, we are
FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

(Woah, that's a lot of 'E's'.)
The last final has been taken, the last paper written, the last report, reported. Clinic and work are still around, but they seem a lot more friendly solo (rather than accompanied by their demanding sidekick, class).
The BIG move, (we moved all of 4 miles down the road) happened successfully, with the help of our amazing friends....Who showed up early on a Saturday morn to lug all of our junk out to the truck (which turned up a bit too teeny weeny...so we utilized several trunks and backseats as well) and back in to our new apartment.

Why did we move, you ask?
We are movin' on up!
Each place we move into (this being our 4th, in 2.5 yrs of marriage), is a little step up in the world.
Sure, we'll miss the many vintage/ghettofabulous touches of our last place (another post in itself), the great location, and the gorgeous old houses in the surrounding neighborhoods...but we are very happy to be where we are now.
Why?
Two words.
1. Washer.
2. Dryer.
And, among other things... a second bathroom
slightly more square feet
a bay window in the office !
a good maintenance/bugspraying/lawn-cutting crew
the allowance for pets in the lease (teehee)
more cupboard space
tile floors in the kitchen (byebye nasty linoleum)
our very own (tiny) backyard
lower rent/less utility payments
We are settling in fantastically! I'm sure our neighbors are happy we're here. We like to bang hammers on the wall late at night. We had no blinds on our bedroom window the first 3 days. Perhaps they saw us in the nude. Whoops.
We like it here.
Our apartment is 50 yards from the bus stop, across the parking lot from a basketball court, a dog run, and a creek. The clubhouse has a pool, a gym, and a playground!
PS. We finally finished the chairs!! they look great. stay tuned for a detailed post about their transformation.
PSS. I am leaving for Kuwait in 2 days. holy guacamole. Jonny will follow me next week.

We can't wait to see your new apartment!
Have a wonderful time in Kuwait with your parents! It will be fun for Jonathan to see where you grew up. Give your parents a hug from us.
